Inspired by the energy and culture of Kansas City jazz, this poster reimagines what a Jazz in the Valley event at MCC Penn Valley could feel like. The focus was on capturing the spirit of jazz through bold typography, expressive color, and strong visual hierarchy while presenting event information in a clear and engaging way. The event title was designed with bright colors and minimal linework to reflect the movement and rhythm of jazz itself. Because jazz is deeply tied to Kansas City’s identity and community, the design emphasizes how that energy moves through the city and connects people. The final result is wild, artistic, and expressive, with a strong typographic system and layered storytelling.
